Stephan Zirwes and Georg Gerster

I saw some new images at Fubiz from Stephan Zirwes from the site Zones and Fields. The beauty of these  minimal, surreal aerial photos are attention grabbing, you really need to see them all to appreciate them. I started to read up on the comments people were leaving and they all mentioned how they’ve never seen anything like it, and while they are impressive they are not the first. Georg Gerster’s posters for Swiss Air were some of the most amazing images I had ever seen when I first found them. The minimal, the geometry, and the colors just blew me away, and the aerial concept tied in with an advertisement for an airline was just perfect. There’s not much I can say that the images don’t say themselves, so enjoy.
