The Photographic Process

I’ve posted some of these photos before, and I’ve been working on them ever since. It’s not that they are hard photos, I just can’t figure out what to do with them. I’m not one to put an effect on a photo to look cool, but I do look at a photo as a kind of puzzle. There’s always some perfect way to treat each photograph and it’s always a kind of mystery until I clumsily stumble upon it. These aren’t finished but I put them up to show my process. I’m always learning some tricks and new styles and I keep going back to photos I took a year ago to see if I kind find the right way to treat each one. Since these photos document a really fun day for me, I’m really just trying to document that to the fullest, I don’t know, maybe I’m too close to the photos to see straight.
